Ray Shremmurd is a young duo consisting of rappers Sway Lee and Slim Jimmy, signed to EarDrummers Records.
Signed by Mike Will Made-It on EarDrummers in early 2014, the duo came to popularity with the release of the singles "No Flex Zone" and "No Type," which hit the Billboard 100 charts. Their debut album "SremmLife" was released on January 6, 2015, via labels EarDrummers and Interscope, which appeared performers Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and Young Tag. In 2016, the debut got an extended play, "SremmLife 2".
At the very beginning of their career, they were initially called "Dem Outta St8 Boyz," and the group had three members;
The name Rae Sremmurd is the inverse form of the EarDrummers label of which they are signatories;
