The Nonce is a hip hop duo from Los Angeles that formed during the golden era of rap and released material from 1992 to 1999, creating very soft music with a touch of jazz and accompanying great rhymes. The composition was formed of two rappers - Nouka Base type and Yusef Afloat.
The collective for a long time could not agree with the label, and the release was delayed continuously. As a result, in 1994, their first single "Mixtapes" was shot, and in 1995 a full-fledged album, which was called "World Ultimate" and was released by the American label Wild West Records. In 2005, to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the album, a Japanese re-release of the album was released and had a very small circulation. There were rumors of a re-release of the album on vinyl, but so far, no re-release has taken place.
In 1998, the release of "The Sight Of Things EP" took place. In 2005, previously recorded but unreleased material was presented in two compilations.
Nouka Base type, also known as Sach, began recording solo material and released his debut album, Seven Days To Engineer, in 1998, and after four years, the album "Suckas Hate Me" was released with Mary Joy. And finally, the third album, "Sach 5th Ave," which was released in 2005. Sach also produced underground artists from Los Angeles, such as Global Phlowtations, Ganjah K, Medusa, Studious Steve, Freestyle Fellowship, and many others.
In 2000, Yusef Afloat was found dead in Los Angeles, and he was 28 years old.
