Megan Thee Stallion is setting the record straight about her viral moment with Justin Timberlake at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. In an exclusive interview with ET, the 28-year-old rapper discussed her recent collaboration with Frito-Lay's Flamin' Hot, known as Flamin' Hot University or F.U., aimed at empowering fans and supporting HBCU students through scholarships.

Timberlake had appeared at the VMAs to reunite with his *NSYNC bandmates and present an award. Backstage, Megan encountered the group while preparing for her own performance. A video of their interaction sparked rumors of a feud, but sources revealed to ET that it was actually a friendly encounter, with Timberlake expressing his pleasure in meeting Megan.

Megan explained the situation, emphasizing that she was preoccupied with her earpiece and hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, attending to her hair. She jokingly declined their initial meeting, promising to meet them properly later. They all laughed off the incident once they realized it had gone viral.

She also revealed her desire to collaborate with Timberlake in the future, noting their shared Aquarius zodiac sign as a sign of potential friendship.

However, Megan's primary focus in the interview was her partnership with Frito-Lay's Flamin' Hot. Flamin' Hot University is an online platform encouraging students to embrace the brand's bold spirit and offering courses on food, fashion, and lifestyle. Megan endorsed an exclusive merchandise line by streetwear designer Melody Ehsani, with all proceeds going toward a scholarship fund at her alma mater, Texas Southern University (TSU), to help students with their educational expenses.

Megan, who earned a bachelor's degree in health administration in December 2021, shared her journey of balancing education and her rap career, inspired by her late mother to complete her degree. She also mentioned her scholarship fund program with Amazon Music, aimed at supporting women of color pursuing higher education.

In addition to the TSU scholarship, Frito-Lay's Flamin' Hot will contribute to Megan's Pete and Thomas Foundation, a non-profit she established in 2022 to assist women, children, seniors, and underserved communities in Houston and worldwide across education, housing, and health and wellness sectors.

Megan understands the challenges of being a struggling college student and the financial burden it can entail. She recalled her determination to pay for her education, even before her music career took off.

Throughout her journey, Megan always believed in pursuing both her education and her career as a rapper, and she proudly accomplished both goals.
