Exciting Entertainment in Store for Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Game

The annual Thanksgiving game hosted by the Dallas Cowboys is gearing up for an epic halftime show featuring a music legend!

The NFL recently revealed that Dolly Parton will be headlining The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show, happening live at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, during the Cowboys' clash with the Washington Commanders on November 23.

This halftime show signifies the beginning of a 27-year-old tradition for the Cowboys, aimed at raising awareness and donations for The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign, which commenced back in 1981. Parton's performance will include a mix of her greatest hits and fresh tracks from her upcoming Rockstar album, set for release on November 17.

Dolly Parton expressed her excitement, saying, "Wow! What an honor to kick off The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign with the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys game this Thanksgiving." She further added, "My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbors in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond."

Charlotte Jones, the executive vice president and chief brand officer for the Dallas Cowboys and former national advisory board chairperson for The Salvation Army, commended Dolly's infectious energy and positive spirit, explaining, "Dolly's music has a way of inspiring hope, and we’re thrilled to have her on our national stage to spotlight the campaign this year."

The presence of The Salvation Army at Cowboys' games is a well-established tradition, with even the players getting involved in the spirit. In 2016, quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott jumped into a giant red donation bucket in the endzone after scoring in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Commissioner Kenneth G. Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army in the United States, praised the Dallas Cowboys and the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation for keeping the mission of The Salvation Army alive for nearly 30 years, emphasizing their commitment to providing hope and care for the most vulnerable in the community.

To support this noble cause, individuals can make donations through cash or checks, digitally, volunteer their time, or provide holiday gifts for those in need via The Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Don't miss the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving game against the Washington Commanders, scheduled to air on Thursday, November 23, at 1:30 p.m. PT/4:30 p.m. ET.
