Lance Bass recently spoke exclusively with ET at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, reflecting on the emotional reunion of *NSYNC at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. The iconic boy band's performance was met with an enthusiastic response from fans.

While walking the red carpet at the festival, Bass, 44, expressed his gratitude for the enduring excitement of their fans: "It's truly beautiful. To see fans still so thrilled at our age is a dream come true," he shared with a smile, admitting he never anticipated such a fervent response.

With a playful laugh, Bass humorously attributed their resurgence to Taylor Swift, suggesting that she may have mobilized both Swifties and *NSYNC fans to create a wave of excitement. This wave culminated in the group presenting Swift with the Best Pop Video award.

During the awards show, Swift couldn't contain her excitement, addressing the band: "I'm not handling this transition well," she said, referring to the award presentation. "I have your dolls! You're pop personified, so receiving this from your golden pop hands is truly overwhelming."

Swift also voiced what many *NSYNC fans were thinking, speculating about the group's future plans, saying, "They're going to do something, and I need to know what it is!"

However, despite the clamor from the public, Bass emphasized that there are no concrete plans for a reunion tour or special at the moment. He explained that they are awaiting the resolution of certain issues and have individual commitments to attend to. Nevertheless, he acknowledged the significant influence of their fans in shaping their future.

Nevertheless, *NSYNC recently made a significant move by recording their first original song in over two decades, titled "Better Place." The song will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming animated film, "Trolls Band Together," the third installment in the Trolls franchise, with Justin Timberlake, one of the band members, also lending his voice to the film.

Timberlake gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of their studio session on Instagram earlier this month, and Bass recalled the emotional experience of reuniting for the recording: "It was pretty emotional, the first time we all got in the studio together," he reminisced. "Back in March, we decided to, you know, get back together and have some fun, and it was like no time had passed."

Bass added that there were tears during the session, but they were tears of joy. It was a beautiful moment for the group, as time had worked its magic, and being together again felt just right.

Fans can look forward to hearing the group's new song when it's released on September 29, well ahead of the theatrical premiere of "Trolls: Band Together" on November 17. For more details on this exciting reunion, watch the video below.
