The recently reunited *NSYNC is gearing up for what could be their most challenging endeavor yet: taking on the infamous "wings of death" in an upcoming episode of "Hot Ones."
This beloved boy band, whose surprise appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards last week sent fans into a frenzy, is set to be featured on this Thursday's episode of the popular show "Hot Ones."
First We Feast, the creators of the show, released a teaser clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which host Sean Evans guides Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez through a fiery lineup of hot sauces. As the heat intensifies on the Scoville scale, Evans challenges the group to answer some intriguing and revealing questions.
During the interview, when asked about their cameos in the 2002 film "Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones," Justin Timberlake disclosed that he and Lance Bass were disappointed they weren't invited to participate, stating they were "so butt hurt" about it.
As the conversation delved into the band's musical arrangements from the '90s, Chris Kirkpatrick openly admitted, "We were aware that there were certain areas where our singing skills were lacking, so we naturally found our respective roles."
He humorously added, "I knew I'd handle the high notes, these guys would take the lead, Joey would be in the middle, and Lance would hold down the bass."
The teaser concluded with Justin Timberlake playfully dubbing Sean Evans as "the new official sixth member," but not without adding a witty remark: "But don't expect us to share our wings with you."
NSYNC's appearance on "Hot Ones" precedes the highly anticipated release of their first new song in two decades, a track featured on the "Trolls Band Together" movie soundtrack. Titled "Better Place," the song is set to drop on September 29th.
