Preview of 'The Voice': Gwen Stefani Shines in Attempt to Woo a 4-Chair Turn
Get ready for an exciting sneak peek into Season 24 of The Voice! In this preview of the Blind Auditions airing on Tuesday, Ephraim Owens delivers a stunning rendition of Labrinth's "Beneath Your Beautiful," leaving the coaches in awe and earning a standing ovation.
But before Gwen Stefani makes her case to Ephraim, she decides to add a touch of drama by shedding her black-and-white checkered cape.
"Let me just take this off so you can see beneath my beautiful!" she playfully quips.
Reba McEntire raises an eyebrow and wonders aloud, "Is that allowed?" Meanwhile, Niall Horan jokingly looks out for Gwen's husband, teasing, "Shelton, she's at it again!"
When the coaches finally get down to the business of wooing Ephraim, Niall praises the emotional depth in Ephraim's voice, and Reba is delighted to learn that the singer's wife is a devoted fan of hers.
However, it appears that John Legend may have an advantage. As Ephraim's adorable daughter, Evelyn, joins him onstage, they share a touching duet of John's song, "Nervous."
"That song happens to be my daughter's favorite as well," John reveals, referring to his 7-year-old Luna. "Whoever gets the privilege of coaching you will undoubtedly have an incredible time working together."
Be sure to watch the entire audition below and tune in on Tuesday to find out which coach Ephraim ultimately chooses!
Season 24 marks Gwen's return to The Voice following Blake's departure. While the No Doubt frontwoman admits that her returns to the competition are usually last-minute decisions, she's genuinely thrilled to be back in the iconic spinning coaches' chairs.
"It's truly amazing to be surrounded by all this incredible talent," she reflects ahead of the season premiere. "Every time I return, it's an absolute blast, and getting to know Reba has been an incredible experience."
Don't miss The Voice airing on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
