Demi Lovato openly acknowledges that she doesn't always feel comfortable in her own skin, but there's one particular situation where she finds herself at her most confident: in the bedroom.
During the second part of her interview on the LadyGang podcast, the 31-year-old singer candidly shared her thoughts, saying, "I'm going to be a bit daring and admit that I feel the most self-assured when I'm engaged in intimacy. It's because you're completely in the moment. You're not preoccupied with the daily distractions that can cloud your judgment. At least, that's how it is for me. I understand it's not the same for everyone."
Currently in a relationship with her boyfriend Jute$, whom she met while working on songs for her 2022 album, HOLY FVCK, Lovato expressed her contentment with their relationship, describing it as "amazing" during an interview on The Howard Stern Show. She highlighted how their connection started as a friendship, emphasizing the importance of building a strong foundation based on trust and laughter in a healthy relationship.
Demi Lovato, known for her openness about her body image struggles and past battles with an eating disorder, also discussed the challenges of being on tour. She acknowledged her human vulnerabilities, especially when dealing with days of poor body image while performing onstage.
"Being on stage when you're having a tough day with your body image is incredibly difficult," the performer admitted. "There's no way around it. You have to go out there, which is one of the reasons touring can be so challenging. You won't always feel confident in your own skin, but you have to perform in front of audiences and numerous cameras. It's been a struggle in the past."
To cope with these moments of self-doubt, Lovato shared her approach of listening to her own song lyrics. "Sometimes, I have to remind myself to believe in the lyrics I'm singing, even if it's challenging. Sometimes, just faking confidence can be a helpful strategy," the former Disney Channel star revealed.
