Gwen Stefani is sharing some unexpected revelations about her life in a recent People magazine cover story. The 53-year-old music icon opened up about her relationship with country superstar Blake Shelton, her journey into motherhood, and a surprising newfound passion for gardening.

Stefani admitted that her connection with Blake was entirely unexpected. She described it as a remarkable gift to experience love in such a profound way for the first time. Their love story began while they were both working on "The Voice," with Stefani navigating her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and Shelton coming to terms with the end of his marriage to Miranda Lambert during the show's ninth season in 2015.

Speaking about her relationship with Blake, she said, "He's changed my life... when I started dating Blake, that's when I felt home, like, 'Oh, this is where I'm supposed to be, with this guy.'"

The couple, who tied the knot in July 2021, now call Oklahoma their home and have fully embraced the farm life. Stefani humorously reflected on her earlier self as a "garden flower nerd" while growing up in Southern California. She remembered seeing her parents tending to their garden and vowed never to have trees at her house. Now, living in Oklahoma, she appreciates the different kind of work involved in maintaining their farm and understands what her mom was doing all those years ago.

Although Stefani is currently working as a coach on season 24 of "The Voice" (the first season without Blake), her main focus is on her three sons from her previous marriage: 17-year-old Kingston, 15-year-old Zuma, and 9-year-old Apollo.

She shared a personal moment from her past when she took Kingston on a world tour when he was just nine months old, juggling the responsibilities of nursing and performing on stage. It was during this time that she found it emotionally challenging to balance her career and motherhood, realizing the preciousness of those moments with her child.

Stefani explained that she had a plan as a working mother, prioritizing being there for her children, especially during their teenage years. She's now living out that plan.

Returning to "The Voice" this season, following Blake Shelton's departure after season 23, Gwen Stefani did so with her signature style. She wore a striking black-and-white checkered ensemble, complete with a bra top, high-waisted skirt, and flowing cape. Her makeup was flawlessly done by makeup artist Anthony Nguyen, using KVD Beauty and GXVE products to achieve her look. However, the highlight of her appearance was the "Shelton" and "Stefani" necklaces she wore, a symbol of her enduring connection with her husband, even in his absence on the show.

It's worth noting that this marked the first time Gwen wore these necklaces on the show without Blake by her side, as Reba McEntire had taken over his coaching role for the season.
