Lizzo surprised her fans with a spontaneous return to the stage during an Incubus show, despite ongoing legal battles. The 35-year-old singer shared her excitement on Instagram, describing the experience as a childhood dream come true. Lizzo posted a photo of herself playing the flute alongside the rock band, expressing her gratitude to Incubus for making it happen.
Lizzo chose a striking outfit for the occasion, donning a sheer black lace bodysuit paired with a bralette top, matching bottoms, and eye-catching diamond cross necklaces. She also shared videos and pictures from the event, showcasing her joy while interacting with the band, singing along in the audience, and spending time with friends.
The official Incubus Instagram account reciprocated the appreciation, thanking Lizzo for joining them on stage and expressing their honor at sharing that moment with her.
This performance marked one of Lizzo's first appearances on stage since facing allegations in multiple lawsuits. In August, three of Lizzo's former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit. In September, Lizzo and her Big Grrrl touring entity strongly denied all allegations in the lawsuit and sought its dismissal "in its entirety with prejudice." Alternatively, the singer requested a trial by jury to contest the claims.
The lawsuit, filed by Davis, Williams, and Rodriguez, alleged sexual harassment during their involvement with Lizzo's reality TV show, "Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls," in March 2021, and during her Special tour. It also included claims of religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault, and false imprisonment. The lawsuit named Lizzo, her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. (BGBT), and Shirlene Quigley, the captain of Lizzo's dance team, as defendants.
Lizzo took to Instagram to address the allegations, describing them as "outrageous" and "sensationalized." However, her legal troubles continued when her former wardrobe stylist, Asha Daniels, filed a lawsuit against the singer and her team later on.
