The cause of death for Katharine McPhee and David Foster's nanny has been unveiled following a tragic incident.
On August 9, the Los Angeles Police Department disclosed that a 55-year-old woman had lost her life in a fatal traffic collision. It has been confirmed that this woman was the nanny responsible for looking after the couple's 2-year-old son, Rennie Foster. TMZ was the first to report this development.
The tragic event occurred when an 84-year-old woman crashed her Toyota RAV4 into the Hamer Toyota dealership service center in Mission Hills, California. This collision resulted in significant damage and affected several people inside the establishment.
Two employees, aged 23 and 35, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover fully after being transported to a local hospital.
The 55-year-old nanny, who was at the dealership as a customer, tragically suffered fatal injuries during the crash and was declared deceased at the hospital. Fortunately, the driver responsible for the collision did not sustain any injuries.
The LAPD has stressed that the investigation into this incident is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with information and contact Valley Traffic Division Detectives.
This heartbreaking news emerged shortly after Katharine McPhee announced her departure from the couple's Hitman Tour last Friday, citing a "horrible tragedy" as the reason.
In an Instagram message to her fans in Jakarta, Indonesia, she conveyed, "It's with a heavy heart that I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run."
While not disclosing specific details about the tragedy, McPhee mentioned, "David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family, and at least one of us needs to return home to be with our family."
She expressed her apologies to her supporters on social media for having to abandon the tour but promised to return "one day" to perform for the Asian audiences.
In addition to their son Rennie, David Foster is a father to six daughters, including Sara and Erin Foster.
