On the one-year anniversary of PnB Rock's tragic death, his longtime girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, shared a heartfelt message on social media, reminiscing about their life together and how she's been coping since his passing.

In an Instagram post accompanied by a series of photos featuring the couple and their children, Sibounheuang expressed her deep grief and reluctance to face the day's painful memories.

"I’ve been in the deepest depression for a lil min contemplating today's date, which makes a year since your transition. I argued with God about openly reliving this day and I absolutely did not want to, so this is an act of obedience," she began her caption.

She went on to describe the profound impact of the day of the tragedy, recalling the terrifying sounds of gunshots and the overwhelming fear and heartbreak she experienced.

"This same day last year, you could look into my eyes and tell my soul was not in my body. All I could hear were the gunshots over and over, and they were so LOUD I couldn’t hear myself think. I was so terrified and heartbroken," she continued.

PnB Rock, whose real name was Rakim Allen, tragically lost his life on September 12, 2022, during a robbery and shooting at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles. He was 30 years old and was known for his 2016 hit song, "Selfish."

According to investigators, the Philadelphia hip-hop artist was having a meal with Sibounheuang when robbers approached their table, took their belongings, and fled in a waiting car. Rock was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Sibounheuang, who previously credited her boyfriend with saving her life by shielding her during the shooting, revealed that she did not learn of his passing until hours after the incident.

In her recent post, Sibounheuang shared that she had a vision in which her late partner recounted the harrowing events of that tragic day.

Days after the shooting, the Associated Press reported that an FBI-led fugitive task force arrested Freddie Lee Trone, 41, in Las Vegas. Trone was charged with one count of murder, two counts of second-degree robbery, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the District Attorney's Office. Trone's 18-year-old son was also arrested and faced similar charges.
